Preliminary! Lübeck Film Studies Colloquium

The third Lübeck Film Studies Colloquium accompanies the Nordic Film Days on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 November. As a collaboration between the Nordic Film Days and the Journal of Scandinavian Cinema, the colloquium warmly invites Film and Media scholars, Scandinavian Studies researchers, film professionals attending the festival, as well as students and anyone else interested in the study of cinema. This year a primary focus lies on intercultural meetings and documentary cinema, a topic that corresponds both with the festival’s Retrospective film series (curated by Jörg Schöning; see festival programme), and with a forthcoming special issue of the journal (guest edited by Ilona Hongisto, Malin Wahlberg and Bill Nichols).
Attendance is free of charge. Please contact Anders Marklund, Lecturer in Film Studies at Lund University and editor of Journal of Scandinavian Cinema, for more information and for registration: anders.marklund@litt.lu.se.

Venue: Diele, located at Mengstraße 41-43, close to the corner of An der Untertrave.
