In the context of the transnational Research Project on the Aesthetics of Protestantism in Northern Europe, led by Thomas Mohnike (Strasbourg), Lena Rohrbach (Basel) and Joachim Grage (Freiburg), we wish to recruit a post-doctoral fellow who will develop a project on the Forgotten Roots of the Nordic Welfare state in Protestant Cultures, that is within the field of the Protestant heritage of the aesthetics of the Welfare State and its linked cultural practices in Scandinavia. The successful applicant’s task will be to write at least three articles within the project, help to co-organize a conference on the subject as well as to provide the data necessary for the development of the project with the perspective to aid for an application for further European funding. The post-doc will participate in the work of the cross-border research project and its regular seminars. Depending on his or her qualification, s/he will be proposed to teach a class in the context of the bachelor programs.
